Gentleman, point of order please.
It seems that there is some internet bashing going on here. I see where only one person has attempted to help Rich in this situation that we have all experienced at one time or another. There are three others that "can't believe it" that he has never experienced this problem before. With the depth and wealth of experience that is available here, everyone should be focused on helping him or anyone else with any problem. It seems that alot of energy is being wasted telling him to get more practice or spent in disbelief that someone with 1700 repairs has never had loose glass chip out during a repair. Rich, When the glass chipped out, how were you holding the razor blade? Was it a 90 degree angle or flatter to windshield? I know I have caught the edge before when the razor blade is at say a 30 degree angle. Like someone else said though, most likely it was loose to begin with. For most all repairs I use either a sewing needle or a paper piercer (my new favorite tool for picking glass, found in the scrapbooking section at Michael's) to pick out any loose debris.

Mike Its very possible i didn't scrape it right. It was on a Jeep in towards the center of the windshield and i did have to stretch to scrape it off. I'm sure it had something to do with that. The original chip looked like a half shell. About the comments thats all right every body has there say and can think what they want. I only posted what had happen. Rich
