I sold my customer list to a friendly competitor...he also drafterd a letter of intrduction to intrduce himself to my customers... he was able to acquire them all

Hi there thankyou for the info . Did you go via a lawyer when selling the buisness--and did you get the price you asked for- I tried to sell the buisness a few years ago people were looking for my accounts. with no money involved.---You very very lucky in selling it ?????

i origanly was going to sell to a replace and repair shop who i did work for but it got to be december and things were slow and he hadn"t hired the guy i was to train..my house sold and i was moving quick...so another friend in the business was interested...i only sold him customer list..thats it.... i kept everything and brought it to nc..no lawyer was used...the price was way low but i was moving....i took what i could get..he's a very happy man because all my accounts used him..he wrote up a letter of introduction and i signed it recommending him
