Default Bubble Dome

Has anybody used the uv blocking bubbledome from Delta Kits? In looks like it would be a big help in bad weather. I am wondering about how cramped it would be using it.

Rottdawg, I use the bubble dome on almost all my out-door repairs. It blocks out the UV, and it is large enough to get both hands in to work the repair and equipment.

It keeps the wind off of your work area, but can heat the work are a bit when repairing in hot sun.

As far as keeping out rain... It isn't water tight at all. But it does help. If you lay a folded or rolled towel around the outside edge of the bubble dome, it will act like a sponge and draw up any water that is running down the windshield and about to breach the dome seal.

The suction cups that come with the dome are too thick and require a lot of force to seal them to the glass. I removed the suction cups and put on much smaller and plyable suction cups in their place. It works a lot better for me that way.

The bubble dome is a great tool, and I love it. Everyone wants to know what it is doing for the repair process..., so you will be explaining the ultra-violet light technical stuff to your customers a lot.

I highly recommend getting one if you don't already have it.

I love my dome although I had to flip the rubber seal upside down to get the suction cups to hold properly which negated the sealing effect so I have to use towels.I'll have to switch cups also.

Yeah shipping was high, but that is just due to its dimension. I'm still glad I made the purchase. To me it was worth it.
