Does anyone carry a laptop and printer with them in their vehicle? It would really make you a mobile system being able to print invoices and enter information directly into QuickBooks...

I use a IPAQ PDA hand held with a blue tooth printer. I found the lap top a pain to carry around and it takes too long to boot up. I carry the PDA in my shirt pocket. With the hand held you hit the power button and your up and running. I also use the contacts and calender funtion all the time and use the note pad when I search lots. I never use paper any more. I use a program call mobile invoice so when I come in to the office I plug the PDA into the cradle and download all the invoice right into Quickbooks .

Yes Sikandar, that is the program I am using on the PDA. The only other thing is you have to upgrade to Quickbooks Pro.

One other thing is if you get a PDA you definetly need a hard metal case for it. The first one I had only lasted about 2 weeks before I cracked the screen. I have had the second one with the metal case for probably 2 years now with no problems and I am droping it all the time. I realy couldn't live without it now.

Thanks for that Don!
I'm currently using a pda phone (spv M5000) I've just about got used carry it around. I've now become a pda fanatic installing all sorts of 3rd party software on it. Its absoloutely brilliant. I was using quicken until recently when I upgraded to Quickbooks pro. I think on the mobile invoicing site it does mention that it will work with the UK version, so I'll have to give it a try. By the way does your bluetooth printer need an electrical supply or does it run off a battery? I have a bluetooth enabled printer at home but its too big, (Epson R300). Regards Sikandar |

I originaly had a HP battery powerd printer but it was very slow. I now have a Cannon portable that plugs into my cigarete lighter. I like the Cannon much better.
