Hey CHips.... It should turn out fine. They will send you an e-mail with the proof. If it doesnt work out, then they will probably send you a few other designs to choose from that they know will work. Goodluck with it, and let me know how it goes.

As for the other responses, I have been practically living on this site sucking up all the information I can get. And I am sure I will still need to learn more after.

I am also looking for a company or a way to print up duplicate invoices. If anyone has any good ideas or great deals on them, let me know.

Thanks again everyone..

Daniel.... The Ding King offers a bunch of different programs for training. From Windshield Repair, scratch removal, Paintless Dent Removal, Gold Plating, Auto Reconditioning, and also Odor Removal.

All the courses have different prices, you might want to go on their website and check it out.

The Windshield Repair course cost me 1,000 and is for 1 8 hour day of training and a windshield repair kit.

If you have your own kit, the course was only 300.00. And after you one day you will have a certificate..

The goodthing with me is in my fulltime job, they give me up to 2500.00 a year in tuition reimbursement. So that course and the kit was free...

I am thinking of using the other 1500.00 in some other courses they offer since my job is paying for it.

Lordstanely13,

Sounds pretty sweet to have your employer pay for start up. Are looking to do windshield repair part time or is it something your looking to do full time?

Well I have worked for Wayne COunty for almost 20 years now.. Full Benefits and the little perks of them paying for any tuition on classes or courses. So right now I am looking to do this part time with nothing more in mind than to make 500.00 a week.

If it explodes and shows me potential to give up almost 20 years.. Then I will cross that bridge when it comes. But if I do make more than 500.00 a week and it shows potential, I might just do both and hire someone fulltime....

Its still up in the air....

I don't think 8 hours of training is enough and a training certificate from Ding King is kind of like a gourmet chef getting a certificate from Burger King.
There are too many undertrained or untrained people who jump into this thinking that they will make a fortune overnight. You can't learn this business in 8 hours,

Being a certified trainer I'll have to agree with Splitpit. I spend anywhere from 3-4 days training a tech. One and a half days on pratice shields followed by real world repairs out in the field. Even after that I continue to support tech over the phone for weeks whenever they run into something difficult.

Training the mechanics is only a small part of repair. To become successful you'll also have to learn proper sales and customer service skills.

The funny part in Lordstanleys case is I paid for his training by being a Wayne County tax payer. Nice to know where our tax dollars are going!

Institute, that one always makes me laugh, they are just resellers of other people's products.

Id bet most people on this forum know more about glass repair than they do.

If I was to buy a glass repair kit it would be from a company that deals solely in Glass repair training, equipment and supplies, Not some company that is jack of all trades master of Non.

Starquest.

I think you need a county job so you can pick up on some of that tuition reimbursement. $2500 Wow..............

Ive had to pay for everything out of my own pocket, no hand outs or grants, Im sure most people have to go that route.

I wasn't knocking King Ding as I know nothing about the company or it's products. But a certificate from them for 8 hours training doesn't stand for much. That's just nowhere near enough training to be prepared to do quality repairs, as well as everything else that goes with running your business
