I am just starting out in the buisness and would love any pointers I can get.
I just became certified from the Ding King Institute a couple weeks ago. And I have my bank account, assumed name, tax id, business cards, car magnet advertising, my banners and I am ready to rock n roll. I just want some pointers from you professionals out there, if I am missing anything, whats the best way to attack the market, how do I sign up with dealing with insurance companies, and anything else that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.. |

Don't forget liability insurance!!! And maybe a merchant account to process credit cards. What size banner do you have? I still need banners and magnet signs. Check out this link for insurance: http://www.windshield-repair-forum.c...ce-update.html

Welcome to the forum LS13. If you are interested in ACT or eDirectGlass give me a call. I will be happy to help you figure out which one will work best for you, and walk you through the sign up process. I'm sure other forum users will provide other options if you are not interested in these.

Chips B Gone. I recieved an awesome deal on my magnetic signs from www.magneticsignsnow.com The banner and my brochures I purchased from Liquid Resins. But a user on here I talked to earlier said he had a banner made locally that was almost 10 feet for about 75.00

Did you order online or did you call them to specify what you wanted?

I ordered right online... Then they sent me some templates with just wording or a design and wording.. Of course the design was more and they sold me on it, but still a heck of a deal...
After they send you the templates of what they will look like, you pick which one you like and they will make it and send it to you within a couple weeks. |

I sent them the .jpg file of my yellow page ad. I ask them if they could stretch it to a 12x24 sign and how it would look.

LordStanley,
A good way to find the info you need is to perform a search, such as "insurance" and "billing". There is so much info on this forum, as evidenced by 130 pages of postings and replies. Just spend a few hours (or days if you have dial-up) reading. Take notes, too. That will help compile the information. Doug |
