When is UV bounce a good thing?

It's funny how the COMPLAINERS can get away with the things they say, yet when I respond in a NEGATIVE way to their NEGATIVE remarks that are pointed towards me, I'm the culprit.

If I complained about every member who rubbed me wrong, I could keep the cry baby line going with Brent too. But that's really not my style.

So I'll resort to being one who simply browses this forum from now on, rather than contribute or participate.

But there's one thing you can count on.....even with me silent, someone here won't agree with someone else. Someone here won't like someone else. Someone here will complain to Brent about another forum member.
I'll stay silent and it will still continue.

I know what you mean, I have been banned in the past, and just veiw only in the most part. Stick to your guns and stay low for a while. Don't respond to any posts or you will look bad after saying "you will step out on your own".
I also have a sence of humor on the wild side but if I get rubbed wrong it will change. That has not been on the forums to my knowlege.

Time to go back into my shell and monitor again.

Not long ago when I was a counselor at an agency for drug addicts and other people in crisis, I had a nice little sign hanging on the wall that simply read, "Cooler heads prevail." It was a reminder to me when I had a client who thought their world was crumbling, that the clearest way through it was to be calm and work on one thing at a time. There are a few major things in life, but most things are minor in nature. Just like most of the stuff on this forum board is pretty minor, not really worth getting that upset about, is it? I like Splitpea's comments (most of the time) even if a little salty. I'm a peacelover, but sometimes spice is nice. And I liked the story about improvising in a crisis. It's inspirational! I've had to do a few odd things to make a job work too. That'd probably make a good thread all on its own.

Sometimes making a remark in person is one thing, there is body language and voice tone to indicate that you are joking or whatever. When it is in written form there is none of this and a joke or a offhand remark can look like a personal attack. I think we all forget this at times. We should reread our posts before submitting them to make sure it's what we really want to say.

On the other hand, writing is an ideal way of getting your thoughts across because you can think about and edit what you are going to say. Just be careful about sending something that you haven't reviewed or written when you are angry or upset. Cool off a little and come back to answer later.

I have seen this sort of thing here and on other forums, and some people I know and respect for their knowledge etc don't contribute because of the fear of hostile remarks thrown their way.

We need to have civil discourse, and I think the first rule is to understand what you are sending and how it might be mistakenly interpreted by the people you are communicating with when you put it in its written form.

I agree with Nomad, He said what was on my mind, Unfortunately the personal attack scenario has played out on many forums over the years, most of the time it is just a simple misunderstanding.

I do think people get upset when they shouldn't, we all take this forum very serious, at least I know I do, we can disagree but we have to move on, I view every post in a positive light knowing everyone is trying to help me.

To be honest the upsets on this forum have flown right over my head, I just look at the comments and try to understand the problems and answerers given.

Life is too short for arguments my friends, we have to get along, anyone would think we were married. Hahahahaaaaaaa...

That's my 2 cents or 1P in Screenmans case.

Since we are on the Subject of UV bounce and such, What would be the BEST 12v Lamp made? My high dollar 12v lamp I bought from "another" Co. keeps breaking.
