gbj, I live in a fairly small community too, and to run an ad in out little News Paper is 5 bucks for one week and I will get an average of two to three repairs a week, but here the best and simplest way is magnet signs on the side of my pickup....But by far the best way is to advertise yourself, just like screenman says...get out and geter done....

Advertising is the most expensive failer or the best investment you have ever made.

You fix glass. Do you thing the advertising pro's in your area should fix their own glass? Go talk to them. They will give you many options. Tell you the ins and outs. THEY KNOW YOUR AREA. It can be the best 1 hour you waste in your life time. Go TALK to them. No spend a dime. They will tell you so much.

See many of us think advertising. Get some cards and pens and maybe a sign.

THAT IN MANY CASES IS WASTED MONEY. Many cards will get trashed as they are handed to customers you already have. Pens. We all got pens. When was the last time you purchased something off a pen? Really. Now, how many pens did you have with advertisments that you do not even remeber the phone number or name?

Folks advertising is not much differant then getting a divorce. If you try to do it your self YOU WILL GET THE SHORT END OF THE DEAL. If you THINK you know so much about marketing your own company that you can do it your self. WHY ARE YOU FIXING GLASS? Advertising is the second largest industry in this country.

Word of mouth is the best advertising for service work. Many folks want to forget they are service techs. Who gives a whoot about ted the glass man. I want the guy that my buddy uses. Ted the glass man can spend 100k a year advertising. Everyone knows Ted the glass man. NO ONE knows his location or his number just his radio jingle.

The guy My buddy gives me or the secratery at the office. That is the guy. I call the number the secretary gives me. Tell him I have a chip. Give him the location. The car type and such. He takes care of it. He gets his pay. He dosn't bother me I have his money ready.

He already knows with out every talking to me. Do a good job. This is a reepeter. Heck I caught his number from the lady out front.

Hum, Spend 100 bucks on pens or 100 bucks on donuts with your cards as YOU deliver them to the secutaries in many differant buildings?
