Long time reader - First time poster

Hello all!

Just wanted to extend a friendly "howdy" to everybody on the board. I've been reading the posts on this forum for a few months now and have finally mustered up the cajones to say Hi! I was just wondering, is anybody going to Mobile Tech Expo down in Clearwater FL next month? I already got my ticket!

If you are not in the business yet, the expo is a great way to see many mfg's under one roof show off there stuff. You can see major and subtle differences in equipment, listen to why there system is the best on the market and last but not least, also get to meet the folks you will have to deal with should you buy there equipment and need support. Try to remember this business is not rocket science, so do not rule out mfg's who have equip that is simple to use.

The expo is the same way I got my feet wet for the very reasons I mentioned above. I was over welmed by all the info at first but you will find your match. Listen to the other techs that might be there as well. I had my equipment choice made but was reassured by overhearing many a tech that were saying I wish I would have bought that equipment, but I will next time.

There are many good mfg's out ther so educate yourself and choose wisely. Incase you are wondering, I went with DK and have used tooling and equipment for years with great success. The crew at DK is fantastic to boot.
