Hey everyone! Just a quick question, but first I have to say:
I went to the Eugene, OR training on Dec. 14th, and I have to say that the Delta Kits guys are awesome! VERY helpful, VERY friendly, and it was a blast being there. Way to go guys! (oh, and special thanks to Wade...he has called a number of times just to make sure things are going well. Thanks Wade!)OK, now the question: Does anyone know where I can find a full (or nearly full) list of Safelite IDs for individual insurance companies? You know, those codes that start with 09 and are 5 digits long....one example being SAFECO 09006. Any help finding a list would be great. Thanks! Kenny Puyallup, WA ![]() |

why would you want them? Screw the low paying and over worked insurance side. Go sell your self a fleet. Even it its Enterprise. I would check out your local school bus company.
Just a hint. What you do with it, well one more joker will buy a kit tomarrow. Any half retarted red neck can fix a rock chip. You have to market your glass repair service to repeat customers. We will do more repairs today then mpst will do in a year. We have been going for almost 3 days straight. I spend 22 hours of X mass day in the Sprinter. Today is the last day then we are off for a week. I was told when I was trained. Insurance work is for when you are hungry and the power is aboout to be cut off. Its scab work. |

Wow, what a positive post.
Not that it matters to you, but my marketing method will be vastly different than yours. We have a handful of people (to start with) marketing this to average consumers for "free windshield repairs". So the REASON I need the list is to give to my guys so they can submit their own invoices with eDirectGlass. So while you're working 22hours + on a holiday, I will be sitting in my office filing paperwork a few hours a day. Remember that marketing styles are different. Just because you've obviously got a 10' 2x4 jammed up your backside, doesn't mean you have all the answers. If anyone with a little more tact and courtesy would like to guide me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. |

Aikorei,
Call your regional SGC manager. He or she will be happy to fax you what you need. I'd also recommend invoicing online and set up electronic transfers for your SGC payments. Works very well. |

Ok guys, lets not let this get out of hand. I strongly suggest that you review the forum "Terms of Service", and follow the simple rules.
I have done plenty of insurance work and fleet work, and they both have their pros and cons. There is good money in both if done correctly. Since I had a fixed location as well as a mobile unit I would have done nothing but insurance work if I could have generated enough business at the fixed location, but that simply was not the case. This business is all about finding your own niche and making it work, not about doing what everyone else does. Aikorei, you might share a little more about what method you will use to bill the insurance companies so other forum members will understand why you want the insurance company ID numbers. Thanks Dave!

Sorry Brent, I'm normally just like you, peace, love and understanding, but seems we're getting provoked here. It's just starting to get a bit much, getting called "retarts" over and over (whatever that word means!).

aikorei,
I have not once, for a windshiled repair, had to enter the mailbox code you are referring to in either edirects site or on SGC's site. I also have never had a kick back for not enetering it. Could you let me know on what page you are entering that info as I have not seen that area? If you are considering the EDI mailbox codes for direct billing, I think those are SGC specific and not the insurance company.

I am almost positive I had a hard copy of the list somewhere, and thought I got it from either Delta Kits or eDirectGlass, but I have since misplaced the list (if indeed I ever had it). |
