Absolutely NOT! Delta is willing to train everyone with NO pressure to buy their kit and NO teasing if you own any other brand. This is what makes them stand out

Check on Expedia.Com for some great deals! I took off early Thrusday Flew out to Eugene from Charlotte and flew back Friday after training. It was well worth it!!! I paid less than $500 for the flight & Hotel. I stayed about a mile away from hotel training was held (because I am cheap). If I would have done it over I would have stayed in the Hilton. JUST DO IT! You will not regret it.

JKrepair, if you are serious just take a days sick from work. Man if you cannot get 2 days off in a row you are seriously being overworked and need to change. Make your decisions quick, there is never a better time to change your life than right now. You will find that many of the succesful guys on here did not take long to get into this trade most thought about it for about 10 seconds and then jumped in head first and got on with it.
Most people spend more on booze in a year than it costs to get started in this business.

Thanks for that post screenman...I am extremely overworked, the people I work for don't believe in two days off...your post is very encouraging

I disagree with screenman. Don't be deceptive with your current employer by faking an illness for sick days. Many people besides you work 6 days a week. No one else should tell you to change your life or jump into something hastily. That's just not right. Do things right and honestly at your own pace. Don't take for granted the job you already have. Make your decision and give your current employer adequate notice of your pnding change. But don't burn your bridges by being dishonest.

This may sound like a dumb question asking a 4 year business major but have you put together any type of business plan? Any chance you could share that with us?

Sounds like your current work schedule is not very flexible, so how do you plan launcing this new endevor without taking some time off? Also, how much money weekly would you expect to make starting out green?

I have some ideas in my head, I honestly have not wrote a plan out on paper yet. My current work schedule is not flexible at all! Honestly, the only way to begin is quit my current job and find something temporary while starting my business.

Your target number can be achieved for your area. However, without a good business strategy in place it may be difficult. If you apply what you've already learned in business things should work out well for you in the future.

I would definately recommend training. If you don't get formal training and use videos instead remember to take it slow. Take time to watch the suction cycle be patient when the air quits moving apply pressure. Take your time don't use too much heat. As far as marketing and sales, talk to people. Your getting gas talk to the Pepsi delivery guy ask him if he know the name of the fleet maint. manager. I did repair twenty years ago mostly car lots some fleet and little ins.. Now most fleet some car lots and no ins.. When your kit is delivered ask the delivery guy for info. As far as $ I just do this for fun part time. I'm the type of person that like the instant gratafication of seeing my good work right away. I make a great living running a power plant. WR money is just a plus. Offer freebies after you get good at it and endeavor to perservere. Keep going to your accounts the sales managers love it and think this guy's hungry, the maint. managers are blue colar guys and are great ful to save $ and have one less thing to worry about.
