Default Re: Favorite Supplier and why

I don't have and don't believe in "favorites". I'm not and never will be a blind loyalist. I use equipment and supplies from several suppliers but mentioning names serves no useful purpose I can see. It is what best fits my business needs where (hopefully) informed decisions are made from the most practical perspective.

I know and it's been said here by others that the patience and concientious skill of the technician more often makes for quality in windshield repair regardless of brand names.

So as not to put too many people off here with my arrogance, I have used equipment and supplies from Glass Medic, US Windshield Repair, GlassPro Systems, Glass Technology. My kit presently uses Liquid Resins, and Delta, No favorites, just what works.

I would like to redirect slightly and mention some of my favorite people, based both on customer service and just being downright decent folks that I respect and admire for their consistent value in this business, as well as ceaseless generosity with their time and advice.
Jim Pottorff, Mark Hulmstrom, and crew at Liquid Resins, Brent Deines, and crew at Delta, Jeff Higgins, Kerry Wanstrath, Rory Most, and crew at Glass Technology, Rich Campfield, I could go on as there are others but this is where I think the real value is.

Not long ago, I was reflecting on the success I've experienced in windshield repair, and I came to realize that my real wealth was in the value of the sustained relationships I've built over the years.

I have used GW and GM. GW was myfavorite twenty years ago, now I'm quite fond of the GM power vac system. I placed an order for burrs seals resin ect... and they even sent me a full 30ml bottle of their new pro line resin to try for free. But I have also learned over the years that most pro grade systems are pretty high quality and work well in the right hands. I tried some DK pro bond and thought it was a good resin, the only problem I had was like an oaf I tightened the cap/dropper too tight and popped the seal on it. It made a heck of a mess in my kit. I saw on another thread someone bought a used kit that reeked like resin the previous owner probably did the same. I will probably buy more DK resin.
