Default Ever do this?

You work on the repair and get it to your liking and you cure it. Then after curing and scraping you notice that it doesn't look as good as you wanted it to. So you drill and tap to reopen the repair and refill it. Sometimes it helps and solves the problem but..........other times it makes it worse and you wish you had left it alone. Maybe being too much of a perfectionist?

Yup, too much of a perfectionist. Just kidding...

What I would do is to ask the individual to come and look at it. If the customer is happy, you job is done.

As human beings we are usually more critical of our own work than other people are. I am not saying not to try for perfection but in the long run if it is going to make it look worse stop there. Just my 2 cents.

I think everyone has had second thoughts about a repair.
" Should I drill & fill more or just leave it alone?"
We tend to be our own worst critics.
If you look at the same windshield next week, it will probably look fine.
Chips are like snowflakes; no two are exactly alike.
