Resin question?

Hello Guelster.. Tell you the truth, I tried all different kind of sample resins on the market.. Delta's Premium Bond Resin is far the best.. I didn't even bother try Windshield Doctor Resin.. Didn't want to waste my time on it..

Its up to you! Go ask Windshield Doctor for the sample.. Everyone is different on their favorite resin.. All I can say is, I sticking with the Delta's Premium Bond Resin..

Just ask for the resin specification sheets on the various resins you want and compare. Do not let them send you the MSDS sheets. You want to know specifics on uncured and cured resin properties.

I challenge you to ask for the spec sheets and compare brand a to brand b to see first hand. It is not the only deciding factor but it is very important combined with real world results. It been quite awhile since I requested them(no need) but most would not supply them or sent the MSDS sheets. Delta Kits will gladly or search for my posts where I listed them. You have every right to know. Sorry its just a little bit of a pet peeve of mine but if they wont let you know what your buying what is that saying. Sure if you went with any of the big brand names you can't go wrong but you still have the right to know and compare. After all your money back gaurantee is largely based on the resins performance.

Let us know how you make out getting the specs.

My first kit was the w doctor i have seen several repairs that i did back then that look yellow now havnt had that with either poly,LR or Delta the price was attractive but it didnt take long to see why

grouselab - I do use Delta Premium, I bought this other stuff to practice with.......cheapest I've seen

SGT - I emailed and asked for the data sheets, I will let you know if they respond.

GlassStarz - You just confirmed it for me...Thank You! I looked at one that I did not that long ago and is looked more light brownish, tanish looking....but I have been known to be a little color blind.
AND
I have been using this stuff to practice with. When I remove the injector and wipe with a white shop towel, I look at the towel the next day and it looks very yellow. This is strictly going to be my practice resin. I now why the price was so attractive.

Yes, I have. It was my first piece of equipment. I've since traded it in and went with a Delta B300. I had used the WR bridge for about 4 mos.

I've heard that someone has come out with a pit resin that when polished is almost a perfect match to the optical quality of glass. No more dull water spot look. Anyone know who carries it?

No, I havent heard that yet but that would be great news! No more dull water looking spot would be a great optical improvement. Please do keep us informed if you find out who is stocking this new resin

I think it is marketed by a company called Delta, I have used it for years and polishes up great. Using the correct techniques of course.
