Is there a way I can get an E-mail job dispatch thru lynx or harmon instead of a fax? I am trying to do away with 1 phone line if possible. Any ideas?

Perhaps you could suggest that you are following there lead and trying to minimize costs at your company. One area of focus is paper faxes. Kind of like the whole EFT vs paper check matter. Maybe you could bill them $1.50 for all paper faxes similar to the non EFT fee!

Hey tooldini,
Try using an online fax facility: efax.com or trustfax.com. Toll free number, receive fax in PDF email format. Did away with my phone line, less paper, keeps electronic copies on email for future reverence. Works great for me. |

I am using efax and it works great. The only thing I did wrong was go for the free stuff first with their fax number assigned to me. When I went to the paid service I kept the old number that they had given me with the area code different from my regular phone. Safelite and some others do not like this. It will not and has not computed.
In other words their computer chokes when the area codes and addresses etc. don't agree. I move around a lot so this is a problem for me. If you have a fixed location this probably won't affect you so much. Just keep the area codes and addresses in the same place and efax should work fine for you. |

I use Faxaway (www.faxaway.com). It costs $1/mo and the networks have no problem that the NPA is 206 vs my area code of 903. Just make sure that your account is set up for no voice messages on Faxaway's side. I can also send faxes but it would cost more.
