hi everyone. im having invoices printed and was just curious what everyone thought about having a 3 part form made so the customer has an additional copy to submit should he or she decide to claim my service to their insurance company. also, is there any specific info that may be beneficial to the customer that i should include on my invoice should they decide to submit a claim. thanks for your help on this.

Chris, I'd have space for the customer to write in their policy nbr, description of vehicle, VIN, date of loss, etc.

Hi there, It is a waste of money having three parts on a invoice I myself have two parts, if a person needs another sheet you can use a photo copy machine to copy the other sheet?? If you are getting your invoices via a printer, SHOP AROUND for years I was obtaining 1000 invoices for approx $250.00 My associate advised me to contact his printer in NH know I am paying $165.00 for 2000 invoices and they do ship--PETER

It is a good idea to have a picture of a windshield on your invoices so you can mark the type of break and location. That way if a warranty issue comes up, you will be able to tell if it was your work that failed or not.
You might want to require that a copy of the invoice be presented on any warranty work so you won't have to go through your copies. In that case, triplicate invoices would be handy. 2 copies to the customer (one for insurance and one for the glove box).

My print shop put a "windshield" on the upper right side of my invoice. The figure is a trapezoid (google) 2.25" on the bottom, 1 & 5/8" on the top and an inch high. On the right is a half circle for the steering wheel - left for UK?

GW, please review the windshield repair forum terms and conditions, and use the private message system rather than listing your e-mail and telephone number.
Thanks

When I first started Delta was kind enough to send me an example invoice that I used to get some ideas from. Check to see if they still have those samples.

here is mine. I think 3 copies would not be needed. I have these printed at kinkos as 2 part NCR. i have this on a word doc so if you would like a copy pm me and I'll send it over.
