Yes my long crack repairs are good, why should they not be? it is very easy with the correct training to do quality repairs of all descriptions. Also very few long cracks on HGV or PSV occur in the A,B or C zone most are in the D. In 20 years yes I know a long time I have never to my knowledge carried out a repair that failed any government inspection.

Maxryde,
Can you honestly say you remove every cowl when repairing long cracks that extend under this area? If you do, your definitely above all others. Never seen any crack repair guys in my area do that. Not even sure if they know how to remove a cowl piece! they could |

I pass up cracks bigger than a credit card because most of my work is insurance referrals. They don't pay anymore for cracks plus I schedule all my jobs a certain time apart. I don't know how anyone can fill a crack in a short enough time. After gettng out moisture and running normal cycles my normal chips are 40 mins each atleast usually.

I dry every long crack with compressed air, you can dry a 12 inch crack full of water in minutes. This has speeded up our long crack technique no end.

I did a 6' crack and two chips at the same time today. Total time 35 minutes, no prob. I placed a tri-cleat at the end of the crack also, prolly the most time consumeing part of the jobs. +100 bucks that hour!! End of the day and I am HAPPY!
