Default Blue Star Repair System

What is your opinion of the Blue Star Windshield Chip Repair System.

It seems to be a simple system, and very low cost. What about the quality of the repairs.

Regards
Bud Abraham

Blue Star Systems?

Never heard of them used in the repair field. You stated low cost, so I guess you'll get exactly what you pay for. ... which means low quality!

Picture looks like a DIY AutoZone or Murray's repair kit on some steroids. Might be better applied for that use. JMHO

Cannot say that I agree with your conclusion if something is low cost it means that it is no good.

Could something that is low cost not also be a good value?

If you like hamburgers, is not the Carl's Jr $7.00 burger a great value for the price, compared to paying $7.00 at Fuddrucker's or TGIF's.

I would not agree that the Carl's Jr burger a low quality hamburger.

Bud Abraham

Blue star, Clear star, same thing. Very low tech, difficult to use, possible introduction of contaminates from usage/design, (while it will perform adequately on some repairs) high price per repair on the consumables, I would recommend you rethink your strategy lest you waste your dollar. JMO

I went to the website and took a look It looks like the old style stuff of 20 years ago not up to the current systems companies like Delta have spent alot of time and $ across the years to perfect thier systems and give a better and easier repair I guess its like the tool market you can buy that $9.95 complete kit at the swap meet or spend thousands on the Snap-ON they both work but a pro who earns his living by giving quality work doesnt go with the Swap meet set

Do a search on this guys name, if it is the same one he has a lot of expertise in the motor trade. I agree with all other posts these tools are rubbish. First thing you see is it covers the working area so that you cannot see. No chance you are anything to do with the compnay making them. Now I sound more like Splitpit.

LOL funny screeman, I agree though you could not see what you are working on. It is important to be able to watch what is going on with the damage to evaluate what is needed to do to help it fill properly.

Windshield repair and hamburgers don't really have a lot in common, so .its hard to make a comparison
I visited the Blue Star website. The equipment looks crude.
If buda decides to buy it, I hope he can return to the forum and give us an update on how it worked.
