Smile New guy advice

When starting out make sure you use a good name for your business. I come across insurance customers choosing me from the top 3 choices due to my name Nu-View Windshield Repair. This happens several times a week so I know it matters somewhat. Just something to think about if your starting out and what work thru the networks.

What do you mean by top 3 choices? Can you explain that. I didn't know that insurance companies picked from a top 3.

I also have have found that to be true from customer feed back, specifically for Lynx referrals. The top three being referred to comes from what ever method the networks have in place to be fair to all the service providers when issueing referrals. Basically, if the customer does not have a specidfic shop in mind the customer is given 3 shop choices from the networks database. So if you have a profeesional business name and the others are odd ball names, the customer will probably select your shop.

Now perhaps if you are fortunate enough to be the only one in an area you may be exempt from the selection process. Or you may never get any referrals no matter how good your name is.

I thought the networks used a rotation? I guess if there aren't many providers in your area then you would always come up.

SGT is correct they do use some type of rotation but noboday can really figure it out LOL. I was told once that there is a top 3 preferred and then they go down after that if needed. I have been told several times by both lynx and harmon how it works but I am sure there is some type of favoritism going on. Your name can be a big factor in someone choosing when your in the top 3.
