Hello, everyone. I'm new to this Delta kits. I started my own in Indiana in the past 3 months. Doing good so far. I use to work with another company and they closed there doors on me. So I bought my own stuff to do windshield repair.
My Question is about resin what is the best resin to use, where in don't turn colors. What about the pit resin. I'm looking for the best. |

I would say Delta kits is up there with the best we have tried. We get samples sent often from other manufacturers to try and very little stands up as well. I like the fact that as well as working well on all the damage and weather conditions we have it is also a low odour resin. Some of the sample we get you can smell before the postman gets in the street.

Glas-Weld Systems, inc. has one of the BEST resins known to man. Their resins will not turn colors. I have never had one of their pit fillers to release or fail.

I have had the opportunity to use Glas-weld resin and did not find it any better than most other resins on the market, I am not saying it is bad just not special.
Now the best known to man is a very big statement could you tell me which resins you compared it with and under what test conditions, many thanks for your help. As an established training company it is important for us to have information to pass on to the new and sometimes old techs we train.

I have been using DKI resins exclusively for years with phenominal results and success. Started with Premium Bond and now Magna Bond. The CPS is so close it wont make a difference. Acid content is a little less in Magna Bond if you have a skin sensitivity. You can't go wrong with either and quite honestly would not be able to tell the difference between the two. I believe Magna Bond was created to phase out Premium Bond at some point. I use both the DKI pit resin and Plate Glass Resin for pit filling but perfer Plate Glass Resin.
Check some of my previous post on the specs if you are so inclined.

I use mostly premium bond. Some of my thicker glas-weld resins for bullseyes and batwings. They are both really good resins. I actually got two thats amazing and WOWs today with premium bond on two repairs. One customer had a repaired bullseye on drivers side, that I thought was a new chip, it was a bullseye with 3 tiny cracks off it. This thing looked like nothing had been done to it. I thought I had two chips to fix LOL. I gently commented on quality of this repair and he said it always looked like that. After seeing my repair he was literaly amazed. Not know they should look this good,, that was a premium bond repair
