So after chasing after these billing situations, faxing this off, mailing that off to another- exactly when do I have the blessing to fix a damn chip and write invoices? I thought I would get a kit and get to business, but this is getting old fast. My credit cards are getting a chip on their shoulder gonna need fixing soon!!

Hey Ken,
Ok, where are you at in the proccess. Have you gotten signed up with Lynx or Safelite yet??? If not do you have all the forms to fill out and the insurance set up with a $500,000 policy??

Ken, I beleive you can start anytime you want.
I haven't come up with the $$$ for ins. yet so I have just been selling the repair jobs for cash, no one says you can't take money from your customers!
The time I spent with David gave me enough confadince to start doing the repairs for cash!

Default Decals

Hi
Bitch session follows- quick click away!!
I'd recieved my kit back in August or so. Must've been because I logged onto this forum 10 Aug 2003.
Now November is close and Christmas ain't in sight for anybody I know.
I sure as mud haven't put a down payment on the aircraft I need to buy!
I don't want to establish myself as a $10-25.00 repairman. That's not why I put myself in this position. I screwed some stuff up- wasted $75.00 in 1 minute or 2 by leaving my friggin injector cocked the day I left Dallas. Perhaps I need the formatted blow-by-blow do this, don't do that-timeline and return on investment offered by a $xxxx franchise- I don't know.
I only planned to do business through the networks & they haven't given me a contract- hell I don't know if they even know my name!
Hellfire, it's always darkest before the dawn, right?

Yes, I sent my stuff off to the networks via Fax weeks ago, but got it back from one of the Lynx's because I left out Texas's sales tax %, even after I filed a sales tax exemption form with them.
I sent another one off via snail mail yesterday to Allstate or Farmer's or somebody yesterday because they don't accept faxes.
Sorry for the bitch session- but I see '$9.99 & no invoice required'
PDQ if this doesn't get moving soon.
Perhaps I should have ignored the networks and gone straight billing.
Do I simply get the customers Insurance card and call them direct to get authorization?

Hey Ken,
Well its u nderstandable that you are getting frustrated. Ok, so you mailed out your allstate info yesterday, that will take about a week for them to put you on the list. Also you can fax the State Farm info into them, as for lynx. I recommend that you call them, you need to call them and ask them WTF, why are they having such a problem getting stuff to you. I never had this kinda problems getting on the list. Sorry you are going through that. As for the last thing, ruining a piston. I personaly ruined 2 of those before I learned to uncock it everytime I am done using it. That is why I made a big deal about it when you trained with me. Call Jeff up at Delta Kits, I am sure he would work something out with you, or give you a good deal. Please call me if you keep having problems with Safelite or Lynx. Talk to you soon buddy.

Win-1,

I was just wondering how things progressed after this? It seems like I am in a similar place right now. I have my insurance and kit. I have completed and sent everything to allstate, lynx, and statefarm. I have not heard anything back form lynx. Don't they want some money to be on the network? How do I know when I will be blessed by Lynx? I just want to make sure I am ready to be billing Lynx by February.

Hi Chris
Despite the fact you haven't been blessed by the Networks doesn't hinder you from serving customers windshields if you have become proficient already. Have you met David Coit yet? He's over in Dallas and is a Super guy- possibly willing to spend some time training new people, just like he helped me so much last me year.
At any rate, each windshield job, just call up the networks- give them the customer info and they'll either give you a referal number or send the customer a check( you're responsibility to collect your service fee).
Let me know if I can be further assistance.
Ken
