Does anybody use generic invoices from office depot or do you guys have your invoices made for you with your logo? If you have them made, do you have any suggestions as to where I can have some made and how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks guys,

Default Invoices

I have my invoices printed locally for about $.09 apiece. The invoices are numbered three part carbonless. It makes you look more professional and trustworthy. You should definitely shop around for pricing. I have paid as much as three times what I pay now because I din't check around.

Hey,
About invoices you can use a 3 part or a 2 part. If you are using the mail system to send out invoices then definetly use a 3 part. I personaly use a 2 part because I EDI all my invoices over the computer so I just need a copy for the customer and myself. As for what I use, I personaly have Microsoft Publisher and made my own invoices. They just say my company name, address and phones (main and fax). I then have a section for the customer, vehicle info and insurance info. I use that. It's pretty simple. If anyone would like to see a copy of it, just give me your fax number and I will send you a copy.

Default Any one in Florida?

My 2 cents worth is- I laid my invoices out on the computer, cut and pasted, copied and recopied till I got it right till I liked it and added my business card on the top. I did the copying on my fax/copy machine. Scotch tape and white out and many copies later I had one I was happy with that looked professional and I took it to the local printer and had them run it thru a regular copy machine but use 2-part paper. He said he had never done that before and didn't know if it would work but I ran a high speed copier for 2 years and knew it would. I got 25 2 part invoices for around $4.00. Not the best way to do it but to get started on a shoestring- it is working!! Then I can get others in the future.....
Good Luck!!!!! Keep us posted. Karen

Good point about laying out your invoice. I laid mine out using MS word and saved the layout fee at the printers.

Default New Website

I designed my own invoices on the computer and took them to the local kinkos for printing I think I paid about twenty cents apiece for them or so but they were done in about an hour.

I designed my invoices as well on my PC.

I chose to use a full sized (8.5" x 11") format so that it would be easier to read/complete, would fax well, has an area for me to diagram the repair location and some extra space to add notes (like directions to the customer's location).

Office Depot charged me $69.95 for 250 full-sized, three-part (multi-color) reproductions from my original.

So, I just added an additional $0.12 to my total per repair cost

I have uploaded my invoice to my web site and anybody wishing to see it can click on the following link :

Default Fleet account

I took up Mike Burstein's offer for his Domonion invoice ( thanks Mike), then cut & pasted my company info onto his invoice. I deleted the invoice # and instead placed a blank line above the word invoice. Each day I use that days 6 digit date followed by a sequential alphabetic letter. I had white (customers)& beige (my copy)paper printed up and got 8 books of 25-2 page invoices made for $12. I do have to use carbon-paper, but I can make as many copies as I want this way. Office Depot wanted $150 to make my 'custom' carbonless 2 page invoices.
