Default heating starbreaks

Most of us know the pesky problems of "half-moons" as I call them.

(Well, if you are Turkish you might think of them as part of the national flag or call them crescents.)

The hit on the w/s is slightly away from the black area in either case.

They are usually small and look easy to repair.

The trick with them is not to drill into the hit.

Start a new drill hole (be careful of drill-travel, of course) directly into the black area and apply gentle pressure to the resin in order not to trap air.

If necessary, go through two or three p/v cycles with just enough pressure and not too much just as you would with a bullseye on a hot windshield.

I hate starting new drill holes. If anyone has a better method, I'll send you a check for a dollar.
