 Are any of you doing Windshield Wiper blades or inserts as up-sales? if so what company sells at a decent price without buying a truck load? What sizes would be the best stockers? is'nt there a insert that is a cut to fit that can take up about 3 or 4 sizes? :?:

We started this on another site and it never finished. I am going to try to do more up-sales this coming year.

Any other idea's
R/V Mirror repair kit will help also $5. to 10. depending what is done.

later

Hey GT...

I developed a POS system for am imported car parts store many years ago and learned a trick from the VERY experienced owner.....

There are basically 2 widths of refills (call them skinny or fat if you like). He would just order a case each of the longest Bosch refill and would offer free installation for his customers when they purchased a refill. All he did would ascertain skinny or fat and would then cut the refill to match the length of the old one. Every now and then he would have to use a pair of pliers to widen or crimp the blade a bit, but not having to stock 50 different permutations of width/length saved him money and time

Default Repair shop near me??

I carry wiper blades and have found it to be a nice addition. It seems most people don't think about wipers until it rains. Sales are easy; if the customer doesn't know his insurance will pay for the repair, he has extra money that's not used for the repair and he has no reason to reject the sale.

Try Security Filter Products Company at 1-800-937-3443.

Popular sizes are 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 24 inch blades.

We don't carry refills; if you refill blades, remember you are liable if it comes apart and scratches a windshield. By replacing the whole blade, if there is a problem the manufacture should pay for the damages.
