I know this sounds crazy but I was thinking about the idea of sign that on the back of my car or truck that would catch the eye of someone behind that said something like: "Honk or call me if you need a rock chip repair" or...I stop for chips, cracks or dings. You could have one of those caution spinner lights attached to the top of your car and if someone call or honks, you could turn it on and drive to a spot that you are familiar with such as a gas station or lot. You could even drive up one or two mile main street and circle around so that people in the neighborhood would be accustom to seeing your vehicle? Sound crazy? maybe...but I haven't the balls to try it yet ...do you? Please try it and let me or us know how it goes OK..if it doesn't work then we can all call YOU crazy!!

"I still love this business"

I do not know if I would do that. I do not even know if I was a person with a chip that I would honk at you. Don't get me wrong if you were not moving at a green light you would hear my horn.

I think in the day we are in with cell phones everyone has one. If the person does not have a cell phone they probably can not afford chip repair and do not have full coverage. I think that if you just had your phone number on your vehicle you would get calls. I know I get calls from people all the time seeing my signs on the side of the road. I can tell they are on their cell phone.

I think good graphics on your vehicle are a must to getting extra work.

Have what you do and your phone number big so people can see it and call you.

Just my ideas on advertising.

Nelson

Doggone it, Shermfiddle.

Nelson is correct.

Don't honk at me and don't honk if you love Jesus or your kid is an "A" student!

Nothing displaces talking to people personally and asking for the job.

A "no" is either a "no" or a request for more information.

Figure out which is which and which to persue and you'll be a success.

But, you won't find that out from the sound of a car horn.

I thought of changing the lettering on one of the roof-mounted ( Domino's delivers) and state
"Rock-Chip repair- Cheap unless it's FREE! "
Tel. (xxx)xxx xxxx
email blah@blah.com for info-
Or just run over my little car at the next red light!
