In MASS there was a recent change in the policy, the Insurance commision advised that repairs can be fixed outside the wiper blade, because in mass there is no deductable on glass, and the percentage ratio for windshield repair to replacments is very low.So the glass shops are know buying Windshield repair kits, and the insurance companys have turned around to the glass shops advising them to increase there ratio in repairs.otherwise there replacemet ratio could be effected.----The networks are signing contracts with the local insurane companys, there is a network who is getting approx $300.00 for a repair or a replacement there is a lot of work been taken away from the local repair and replacement shops and been given to the networks-----If you get a job from a private partys and it is one of the insurances that the network is signed up with .When arriving at the job site to do the repair you advise the customer to call the network for a ref#,Otherwise if you tell the customer to call before you get to the job site for a ref# the job will be taken away from you.-----the big welshman

Default Starquest - GRT: good questions.

I got your message Welshman.

The network situations are different in different areas. It is not as extreme here or in TN as it is in MA.

Good luck.

Tom
