advertising is only expensive when it does not work. spend the most you can and a bit more you will get the benefits. to only spend the cost of one repair as your main advertising budget is a bit small.
Speculate to accumulate.

DaveC,
Since you are a MOPAR guy, you could get one of the new Dodge Magnum's. Awesome looking vehicle(perfect car for graphics)and a hemi to boot.

I am/was the Dodge guy
Heck, while still in decision mode, I've just been dropping the wife off at work in the AM (only 5 miles away) and have been picking her up in the PM and have been using "her" car. Call me cheap, but between diesel fuel savings, insurance savings AND dually payment savings, I've got an extra $1,000 bucks a month to play with Hmmm... maybe a Vespa. Couldn't cost more than 50 bucks to wrap it

I have had graphics on my truck now for about 6 weeks, and have only gotten one job that I can attribute to the graphics.

Getting hits while driving works better in a smaller town where people see you around again and again. You will get more hits parked than driving as well. Check around for insurance and make sure they are going to put you down as driving for business, not commercial. I have both my trucks done with computer gen. lettering and both paid for themselves in the first week of use. Park in the "right" location and watch what happens.

I had three magnetic signs made up for my truck the first week I started my busiess. I was pleasantly amazed at the response that I received both from driving down the streets as well as when my truck was parked in a shopping mall parking area. I have had customers call me on my mobile phone while setting at a signal light that was reading my phone number off of the magnetic sign on my tailgate. The business paid for itself within the first two weeks. Since starting my business, I have published my business name and phone in the yellow pages of our local phone book and also in some small trader papers. None have received the response that my magnetic signs have. By the way, several individuals have questioned the performance of the magnetic signs as far as staying in position on the truck as a higher rate of speed. I have had my signs in place for over three months and have driven at interstate speeds (70 mph) and have never had one to move. I do take them off about every week and clean the underneath side of the sign as well as my truck.
