I found a great little knife at Home Depot. It's made by a company called Klein Tools and is called a cable splicer knife. It works great for trimming the old urethane for a new bead.

Yes, that's the one. I resharpen every so often but it stays extremely sharp.

So with all those fancy gadgets out there to cut out the windshield a good sharp knife is all you need .. what is your experience with the cold knife, any good? Whats better? Thanks for the info.

Our shop has a set of these.
![]() They work awesome if you can keep em sharp. But I am file challenged and cannot get the hang of sharpening a double edged horseshoe shaped blade. |

hey i have a tool like that. i call it a paring knife. it don't cut urethane but boy won't it teach an apple what for.
