This might explain why we see bad repairs?

This is a Canadian company that hires summer students http://topstudentemployer.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-__6sU_bGc#t=199 You cant find one location open now that they are back to school. Delta supplies their tools,so this might disappear? As someone who works hard to make a living at th...

Re: New curing light.

This light looks identical to a 1 watt 365nm light available on eBay for $25 including shipping is there a difference besides the Delta logo? What is the curing time with this light?

Re: pit resins?

So it is your repairs I get to see later with no pit ill in them :D Pit fill has better weathering characteristics than normal resin and takes just a few seconds to add before curing, I cannot see any reason not to use it. Screenman, can you show me proof that thin resin will fall out of a chip bef...

Re: Newbie intro / Air Bubble and Flowering issues

My theory on the air bubble appearing is that when the resin cures is shrinks slightly. If you use a thick tab it will stick to the tab and pull up from the bottom when it shrinks leaving a trapped air bubble. It sounds like you found the solution, don't use a curing tab. If you use curing film don'...

Re: Odd damage

For damage like that I would steer the customer towards getting a replacement. While it would not be impossible to fill with resin it would be quit a lengthy repair and the results may leave the customer unsatisfied. The biggest problem I see is that there is a lot lot glass chips missing(damage ope...

Re: Pray for our friend

Well I am sorry if I offended anyone, but I have strong feelings about religion vs reality and I do realize this is not a forum for that debate
so I will leave it at that.
Regardless,my best wishes for Davids health and recovery are genuine.

Re: MVP 360 Injector

I sell Delta, the reason being I feel that after trying most other kits it offers the best in many ways. 60% of my repairs are on verticals so maybe I have the technique required. If you have not cleaned your injector for 6 months then I would question the quality of your repairs, any resin left in...

Re: Pray for our friend

Well... I will not pray to an "imaginary being", but I do hope everything works out for the "Coitster".
He has had many posts sharing his wisdom and I hope to see more in the future.
Get well David, and back to work!!
"God" cant "Save" a windshield, but you can. :)

Re: Alternative to capping a pit and it works

A curing tab peels right off of cured resin. In fact that is what it is designed to do so any pressure at all will break it loose. You also still don't get the solid surface needed to keep the injector from leaking. Well it works for me,there are different forces working here. Lifting VS peeling As...

Re: Alternative to capping a pit and it works

You can make a circle around the pit with pit filler, put the tab over the pit and resin (make sure there is nowhere for air to leak out) and cure.
This will hold better than any tape.
