Re: Curing under pressure

I don't know how many repairs that I have done but it is a bunch. Sometimes Its not that I don't know how to get the air out or the moisture, there are simply some breaks that you cannot get all of the air out so the only option is to cure under pressure (in my opinion). Its not cheating, it is not ...

Re: I cracked my first one today.

I personally would hate not having those tools, the moisture evaporator is genius for getting moisture out of a break, which by the way is crucial for a good repair. That cooling tool works great for me, I use them everyday and never had any trouble with glass cracking. Granted I do use caution. I t...

Re: Curing under pressure

It apparently does not get the amount of uv rays that it needs to set up. I'm sure that if you left it long enough that it would set up, but while curing under pressure I will try and leave the light on it 2-3 minutes. Never had I had trouble with it harming my Delta tools.

Re: Insurance Chip Pay Amounts

Much depends on which of the entities is caring for that particular insurance company. Safelight will pay anywhere from 40 dollars for fleet work, to 60-75 for various insurance companies. Lynx is I think now 60 dollar flat rate. Harmon or whatever it is called now is 50 for the first and 10 for eac...

Re: HELP Hand problems

When I first got started in the business I would get so busy and my hands would sweat so bad in the nitrile gloves that it made doing any paper work a mess. So I stopped using gloves and in a about a year or so my hands began to crack and bleed. It was a miserable thing and nothing seemed to help it...

I have yet to have to get one re-calibrated. I never unplug any of it, re-affix everything to windshield works fine.

Re: Shading

I've seen an umbrella out there that is supposed to do that. I cannot imagine it being big enough to actually be a good thing. And would definitely not trust it to block UV. But most of all, I would never want to attach anything like that to someone's car, there is to much that can and will go wrong...

Re: How To Raise My Prices I'm the cheapest in town.

Never have I tried, or wanted to be the cheapest in this business. One of the reasons why I got into this business was because of the poor work that somebody did on my car, and later I find out that they were cheaper than anybody else. Now I know why. I don't just sell a repair, but like many others...
