Re: Back glass replacement on 2008 Dodge Avenger

Mon son's 2008 Dodge Avenger had the back glass shattered. There is no gromett. The glass appears to be bonded to the metal with a 1/4 inch thick rubber layer. Should this be removed and replaced with a urethane sealant? Is there a replacement rubber piece? Maybe this piece is used at the factory i...

Re: Proset Windshield Setting Tool What Do You Think?

Looks scary and complicated to me. I use the Aegis Solo setting tool suction cups only on the glass, works great for me.

Re: Technique on larger combinations

I know that it is not something that Delta recommended to me in training, but I too at times have a break, especially larger combination breaks that the only way that I can keep all of the air out is to cure it under pressure thus I do it often and solves that problem for me. The little curing light...

Re: Safelite Hasn't Paid Me Yet

I've actually had that happen often over the years. I've had some that they couldn't verify coverage for that I have worked for years for. Those are the ones that I know it will get verified just might take a day or 2, so I go ahead and do the repair. For those people that I do not know I will ask t...

Re: Safelite Hasn't Paid Me Yet

Are you an approved affiliate workshop for Safelight? I never have any troubles once they assign me a work order, I turn it in promptly and generally in 2 weeks they pay out. I turn my invoices in online though, saves paperwork charges seems like they use to charge me 9 dollars back when I just faxe...

Re: Ridiculously low prices!

Yes it is really sad. Those are the guys who really don't care if it is repaired or not as long as they get your 15 dollars. I try and educate my customers every chance that I get that WSR is an art, it can be done right and it can be all wrong. Cheaper is never better.

Re: Long Crack Repair with Delta kits

I have done many of them up to 18-20 inches long, only if they are new I wont touch them if they have been there a while. I anchor them at the end of the crack and then I determine which end that I will start at. I do not want my resin to run downhill ahead of me so I try to work uphill filling the ...
