Re: Factory UV coating

Many times on an Acura ,Honda and Toyota or Lexus, the coating simply flakes off over time. I those cases, you can simply polish the lens and re-coat and get the exact same results. But you need to make sure the coating is all gone. If youre not sure, run a 300 disc over the lens really quick and yo...

Re: Headlight fogged at 41 degrees

Your problem was that there must have been moisture on the lens. A cloudy day and they look bad but on a sunny day they dont? The sun dried the lens. Ive had that happen to me a few times but I started using 99.9% pure alcohol and it never happened again.

Also be careful of those headlight aimers. If they break off, you might have a hole in the lens. just tape a lot around them and you should be fine. None of us like working with them.

Re: What's the average time to restore a set of headlights?

Re: What's the average time to restore a set of headlights?

Depending on the vehicle (passenger car) Im at 30 - 45 minutes. A tougher one may be listed a a HL that has OEM clear which is difficult to remove like a Volvo XC90. For the newbie, 60 minutes should the be the norm until you gain experience. But this also includes having all the tools and sanding d...

Re: Delta HLR forum

Just a quick thing to think about- and to anyone who is reading this. In the transportation industry regarding school buses, you have basically three customers. School District #1 Leases all their buses - not a good candidate for HLR as the turnover is generally three to four years. School District ...
