Re: HELP Hand problems

Never have liked wearing gloves. When things are hectic, and I want to protect my fingers better I use Swingline "Rubber Finger Tips". They are pieces of rubber that fit over your fingers up to the first knuckle, they have nubs to get good traction on whatever you use them. I used to get dried out a...

Re: Please help me information on windshields

This looks like an impact from a golf ball. I broke a neighbors bedroom window when I was 12 years old playing with some golf equipment in the front yard. I had to shovel snow for a month to pay for that one. :geek:

Re: Scratch Removal

OK, I figured it out. I was using the wrong polish. The company I was getting polish from went out of business years ago, and I was using polish from another system from 15 years ago that I thought was the same. It works, but not nearly as good as the original polish or the stuff I am using now. All...

Written Guaranty

Good Morning. I have a customer who wants a written guaranty. I have one that I produced on an old computer that is not accessible at this time. Does anyone have one handy that I can use? Something that says that I guaranty that the crack won't spread after the repair. And unconditional money back. ...

Re: Scratch Removal

I used to do a lot of scratch repairs on Auto glass but now I believe The surface of Auto glass has changed. My personal opinion is that scratches are not occurring as often as they were from wiper blade failure, and what I was using to polish them, Cerium Oxide, is not doing the job. And, one of my...

Re: What do you know about hardened glass

My feeling about a change in the performance of auto glass is mainly about my observation of how it is reacting to the damage, and how I have been trying to repair the damage. I don't know how much auto glass scratch repairs you have done, but I have been at it for over 25 years. It got to the point...

What do you know about hardened glass

Good evening glass repair people. Does anyone know anything about hardened or toughened laminated safety glass. I think windshields have changed over the last 5 or more years. I am not seeing as many chips and small cracks as I used to for the amount of cars that I look at each day. Also, I used to ...

Re: Quick question about very a very small chip

I work on a lot of cars, and sometimes run into a situation where someone (not a professional) has dropped some glue or who knows what on the pit, thinking that would help. Then when i try to do a real repair, the crack is clogged with something and it does not fill properly. So I clean everything t...

Re: Safelite primer question.

I use acetone on almost everything. Out here the hi-line cars get Rain-x and other contamination in the glass. The only way I know to get it out is acetone in an eyedropper while flexing with a probe. I use an evaporator or the sun to dry it out. The clean-out takes an extra couple minutes, but I th...
