Paying Employees

For those of you who have employees, how do you pay them? Do you pay hourly or per job? Do you use a payroll service? What about taxes and workmans comp insurance?

I'm wanting to hire someone, but all of this is becoming overwhelming and costly. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Do you accept insurance rates

What are the insurance companies typically offering for one repair?

What do they offer for a crack?

Thanks!

Re: Star break cracked out

I'm a few years late to this post, but I'll throw my 2 cents in because this is important. I don't know what this break looked like but you said one leg was an 1 1/2 inches. In order to form an LLC in my State you must you a physical address that has someone there during normal busin...

Re: Insurance for Windshield Repair Technicians

Thanks Chris! I called today and this company was by far the best. They were great to talk to, helpful and had the lowest price. For me in AL, I was quoted $360/yr for $500,000 liability and $30,000 garage keepers. Still working on my business plan, but this will probably be the company I use once I...

Re: Quick Background and Some Questions.

I'm new at this as well, but here is what I have learned so far. YOUR BUSINESS PLAN IS KEY! You really need to plan out your expenses and forcased initial monthly revenue for the first year. I overlooked things like business taxes, insurance, payment processing fees, marketing costs and website fees...

Re: Company car

I was wondering the same thing regarding the vehicle photos requested by the TPA's. Will they accept you with a personal vehicle and magnetic signs on the side or do you have to have professional signage on a company vehicle?
