Wind Noise

I've had customers ask me about the new noise their replaced windshields make as they're driving down the road. Any ideas as to how a bad installation could cause this?

New Glue

A customer got out his 'Bondic' kit after seeing how I was curing his chip repair. The kit is $22 and comes with 4 gm's of resin and a mini UV light. He had repaired a frayed laptop usb cord and the repair looked pretty solid. The company has a lot of videos showing repairs on different materials. S...

Re: Drill

I just went on ebay and bought two 4.8v dremels that take AA batteries. One is the older model with the square battery holder an the other one is the newer one with the tapered holder. They were $27 and $30 with shipping. I use rechargeables and drill about 100 jobs on a charge.

Commercial referrals in Sacramento, Ca area

Anybody out there in the Sacramento area want some commercial work? Mostly pickup trucks and quite a few. Too far and too early for me.

Here's my advice - Print this out, put it someplace where you'll see it and do what it says. Alamo, My best advice, especially for someone new, is practice PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! Before you hose up someone's ride. And when you think you know what you are doing, always explain to your customer that the...

Re: Drilling with resin on the glass, ruin bits?

Impala -- you are packing cured resin into the gaps between the 6 little blades on your burs. If you heat the tip just right with a lighter or torch, the old resin will burn and can be wiped or brushed away - giving you some more use out of the bur. Doesn't sound like it will work, does it? Worth a ...
