Re: Good Repair then legs return??

Hi All. I had a new issue arise today and was wondering what might be the cause? I repaired a small star on a customer approx 3 weeks ago. It was a good repair with only a small freckle left as evidence of its existence:-) He returned today and its as if the the star has returned and never been fil...

Re: Insurance Multiple CHips

Same as you, bill for one and do them all for one price. Never heard of multiple claims at one time. sounds to me like Safelite found a loophole for them to increase their claim numbers and profit. I guess I don't see anything wrong with it, if it really is a different claim and date for each chip. ...

Re: Build Customer Base

Could you give some examples of FLEET accounts? Like used car lots? I use three categories for my customer base. 1. Retail. Cash and insurance customers. 2. Resale vehicles. Independent used car lots. New car dealer lots. New truck dealer lots. 3. Fleets. Any person or company that owns multiple ve...

Re: Filled chip in windshield - outer edges not filled

Yes, the day I did it it was completely dry outside. Florida tends to get muggy at night so maybe moisture got in? Not sure. Is it possible to drill and refill? Should I take it to a pro? OK I'm guessing by what you said that you did not do a dry out procedure to the damage, so yes I think there wa...

Re: Filled chip in windshield - outer edges not filled

Looks like you left some moisture in the damage. Did you dry the break before repairing?

Re: Curing under pressure

Novus used to teach curing under pressure. They don't teach it anymore. Why did they stop?

I consider curing under pressure a waste of time and I'm getting too old to waste time so I don't do it.

Re: Question for Mobile Repairmen: What Do You Do in Cooler Climates?

Hey all, Quick question for those of you who primarily do mobile WSR, what do you guys do when it gets cold & snowy (assuming you dont have a shop to do the repairs in)? Short answer... Keep working! I have never liked doing repairs in any type of precipitation but the temp never stopped me me from...

Re: Curing under pressure

Why would you cure under pressure? This must be a new procedure? Curing under pressure is not new. Some people cure under pressure because they can't or don't know how to remove all of the air and/or moisture from the damage. Pressure from the resin will force the damage to look filled by compressi...

Re: Parking lot Chip Repair protocol

SGC is the only TPA I've had a problem with. I ask the customer to tell a little fib and say the repair hasn't been started yet. Never had a problem with that. A couple times the customer screwed up and said the repair was already done, they will still pay but they want a faxed invoice and charge an...
