Our Canadian distributor was not carrying 2000 grit discs anymore, and I noticed that my results were not as spectacular as they were before. I now use the following sequence 320,600,1200 or 1500, 2000, and 3000 and am happy with the results I am getting. I get the 2000 grit discs from a body shop supply house locally and they are made by Norton Abrasives. One 2000 grit disc will usually do both housings, and I get better life out of my 3000 pads. I clean the residue from the surface after all grit changes.
