The following statement was released to us from Harmon regarding their repair network.

[quote]Harmon Solutions Group, a third party administrator of auto glass claims for insurance and fleet companies, is aggressively expanding their network of windshield repair specialists. Harmon Solutions Group is a strong supporter of the NWRA, and has partnered with several large insurance companies to educate agents and consumers on the benefit of windshield repair. HSG has developed a dedicated windshield repair network in order to deliver higher repair ratios to their existing customers and attract new ones. The dedicated repair network distributes any jobs that qualify for windshield repair to a dedicated windshield repair company where possible. This is an opportunity that may help you earn additional business in your respective marketplace. This approach supports and gives the upper-hand to the independent repair technicians by enabling you to have first access to customers who qualify for repair.

Cooling Down Windshield

From someone who is currently working for a subsidiary of Harmon..., I am curious as to their rates. We are currently receiving $43 per repair. I wonder if the rates are different for "repair only technicians".

I recently received a copy of the "Repair Only" agreement from Harmon Solutions. I noticed that Harmon Solutions Group is a subsidiary of the Glass Doctor chain and not part of Harmon Auto Glass. Does anybody know if "Glass Doctor" has there own mobile vehicles running around providing repair only services? So far I haven't seen any on the road in this area. Their offering rates are $45 + $10 + $10 which seems rather low for insurance work. They also want to be listed as a additional insured on your general liabilty policy which may present a problem since some insurance company's won't offer that option.

I guess the bottom line decision to signing or not signing up is how much volume there willing to provide us with. I've signed similair agreements in the past only to be very disapointed with the one or "0" referrals per month. One other thing to mention, if you do choose to sign I wouldn't extend your coverage area past a 10 mile radius of your home base. For AAA insurance here which pays $75 + $12.50 + $12.50 I'll extend that to 30 miles but would never for $45.

If anybody has already signed I'd appreciate some feedback on how things are going. So far I haven't decided.

If it is the same Glass Doctor that I am familiar with, then they do repairs and replacements.

So, I guess that in order to keep true to their concept, they would not refer any potential repair jobs to their Glass Doctor shops;)

I called Marcus and he faxed over the application. They pay 50, 10, etc...
He indicated they ARE Harmon Glass & his letterhead is from Mn-
Glass Doctor is a franchise operation based here in Waco, Tx. They started 25 years ago with Rainbow Carpet cleaning, do many other franchise ops.
Hassle might have been listing Harmon as add'l insured. I indicated we mostly use RLI and they DON'T do that. He said send the faxed application and he'd overlook that.
More later,..

I signed up with Harmon Solutions last February (2011). I have received four pieces of work from them to date. They do pay $50/10/10 and good in paying. :)

I've been with HSG for two years and I receive 8-10 calls per week on average. Payments are almost always timely. The only criticism I have is that after speaking with the insured I often find a replacement is needed and not a repair.

What is the web site that you use to contact them: I looked up Harmon Solution Group and got a marketing firm in IN. I didnt get anything under HSG either. I find that a majority of my calls from the web or directory need replacement.
