I know how it feels with the phone not ringing. You feel like going back to your comfy old job with no problems getting a paycheck. Well with leads i found like the rest of you paper advertising doesnt pay, Radio adds dont pan out and just having a website doesn't give you much work. I have a guy who gets me on google on the map page im usualy spot 1 or 3 in my town and 2-11 in the entire city depanding on what the other companies are doing. Also I just signed on with AT&T were they put an add on all the serach engines there yellow pages and I pay per phone call. I just signed on so I am excited to see how this works out.

Hi chris Yes I am in my second month now and I have been working to get more Repair calls than replacement calls. It is hard to be in the auto glass anything and not get replacement calls. when I first went live I got a ton of calls for replacement, which I referred out to a local glass shop that was so glad to get them . working with my Marketing specialist I have been able to tune in the adwords and placements to really get more repair calls. I do not get a lot each day but I have been getting 2 or 3 and then still the 4 or 5 replacement call each day .I have had replacement calls lead to repair work on other vehicles.just to give you a run of the numbers since I went live on 12/11/09 I have had 14,202 adviews 185 Clicks and 92 calls or emails. I have have made 40 repairs. I know that the installer I am refering to has really good prices for the people that call . I am meeting with them this week to see how many they have done and to collect my refferral check . %90 percent of thepeople that call pay cash . so I think it is much better than getting in the insurance rotation. I really feel this has worked the best for me because I don't have to work so hard for the lead . the fleet work has just been unrelenting . I have not had the luck with it I had last year. so by passing out flyers to buisnesses and advertising on the internet I have had to travel less and when I do travel I am working . I am able to cover a much larger area on the internet than I could ever cover in other ways . I hope this helps ...

Can anybody tell me an average for a start up business, in their experience, to expect - i.e. - (visits per day) for a tent location on a nice busy street with plenty of signage?

Thanks,

Steve

smaples, so many variables. Population, weather, road work, access to location, convenience. Set up and try for a week or two.

Thank you for the response. I realize the complexity of my question and the impossibility of an answer. I am just curious about other people's experiences (via new setup). I am not going to hold anyone to a number. Just trying to find out information.

Lets assume:

Population: 100,000 plus
Weather: Great (sunny and hot most of the time)
Road Work: None - on a street in the middle of town.
Access to location - In a parking lot that fits about 300 cars a day and is mostly full all of the time.
Convenience: Great = Easy in and easy out. Right next to the road, and a mobile snow cone shop.
Time at location - 8 to 6

I am able to post plenty of signage. Can be seen from either direction. Anyone think 2 customers a day is out of the ball park?
Next, anyone know a good (average price to charge for non-insurance billing)

I am averaging maybe four or five a day now, after a slow winter. I have had as many as fourteen or so and once in a while a dead day. Tried a car wash for two days a couple weeks ago and only got one. I think it would improve if I stayed there for a while. Only two a day would be pretty bad in the busy season here.

Pricing will depend a lot on competition and a lot of other factors. If you have other WSR techs with signs out for $20 or $25 then it's tough to get $50, unless you have a dedicated clientele. Even then you will lose some to the people who only go for price. Check out the area and see what others are charging, check to see if there is a lot of competition around. We went from3 or 4 to 9 people this year in a four sq mile area and that really hurt business for me. Just too many charging $20 or $25 with signs to that effect on the street got people to expect that kind of price when they pulled in.

Hello I am new to the forum. I own an Autoglass company in Florida. I was drawn to the success that Tracy5963 had with this lady helping her with online marketing. Is there anyone that knows how to get in touch with that lady so I can give this a shot with my business?

Thanks!
