I have a 4 volt Dremel drill and the charge does not last very long. Does any one have a preference they could recommend.

I use and recommend the Dremel Stylus 7.2-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Rotary Tool with Docking Station. The pistol grip feature makes it very sure and controllable for drilling and the lithium battery lasts long and charges fast. I don't see it offered on the Dremel websight anymore, but it is available on Amazon.com.

#1 on the Stylus. I got mine at Home Depot in an opened box and bought it for $60. I have used Liquid Resins #210 bits (.035) for about 15 years with good success-buy 50 at a time for a good price.

I'm glad to see this post on here. I need to order some new bits and lke to hear what everybody else is using. I also need to do something about my Dremel, it doesnt hold a charge at all. I get maybe 1 or 2 chips out of it before it needs to be charged.

I have never had any trouble with my batteries staying charge. I buy a new dremel about every 2 years . I have plenty of batteries and always keep some charging!

WOW, I have a Dremel I got from Delta. It's about three years old and I charge my battery once a week at most. I can probably drill 20 - 30 chips per charge. I use the FG169L bit.

I use a battery setup that came with a 6 volt dremel 760-01 I got at Home Depot awhile back. It holds 4 alkaline or rechargeable AA's. I get something like 100 jobs out of a recharge.

Time for a new battery, if you can find one.
I opened my battery packs up and replaced the batteries inside them.
Knowing how to solder can be an asset.
