I do take the seats out if it's a power slider, if manual, no need to remove seats. I also go as far as removing rear seatbelts to give me more room. I've had success having my helper pull on the frame of the glass while I dig into it with a very sharp chisel. Have to be extra careful but I've made it happen.

Like the other fella said, use a Fein knife with the right angle L shaped blade, and grind it down a bit so it doesnt chew up the outside of the pinchweld. I typically go from the inside. Just today i saved a power slider out of 06 Ram MegaCab, and the body shop was thrilled, as the power ones go for $600-700. Came out in less than 10 minutes, with an hour of interior disassembly of course

Well I have removed windows on hard tops for jeeps before but I've never replaced the entire frame and window on anything.
I'm trying to figure out how to remove the frame and windows for the rear window on a 2nd generation dakota, feels little irritating job :x

I found a tool that makes a difference. I tried my Fein multi master tool with a bi metal one inch metal cutting saw blade. I was able to slowly but safely cut right through the hard plastic up the sides and then you get to the top where the plastic is four inches deep. I simply began to plunge cut at a rite angle directly through the outside near the top and continued even cutting through the remaining tempered glass. The blade goes safely in to a hollow behind the head liner and leaves a half inch or so still attached across the top. I then cut up through the remaining frame to release it and did the same with the bottom. Maybe an hour for my first time doing it that way. Minor scratching pretty deep in the lowest parts of the pinch weld. I got through the entire thing with one blade even after cutting through the tempered glass, however next time I will save that for last to get the most out of the blade on the other parts. You can find ten packs of blades cheap so it only adds a couple buck to the job. Well worth it.

Pack a lunch, it's going to be a long day. No easy method. Break out the rest of the glass in the back window if it isn't already broke and take your time. I was able to save the middle window on one. Not sure why I did it because I would never be able to install it.

We just a HSG work order for a 2014 Dodge rear electric glass.
Looks like the shops I am friends with had a shot and wanted to add $500 labor and were refused.
Mobile sounds too hard and not enough money...
Ideas???

I've been advised that this is a quite straight forward removal using the BTB power tool and our standard (yellow) powered cold knife blades from inside, so that the blade is cutting against the pinchweld. Use the shortest version required so that the blade tip doesn't reach the pinchweld wall. It should be a very similar removal as the previously presumed "impossible" 2001 Dodge Dakota back glass that we published removal procedure for in Auto Glass magazine several years ago.
