For lithium-ion batteries, never discharge them all the way or else they will fail to fully charge next time. How do I know much about batteries? Please don't be thinking unappropriate, this is a public forum.
I still have my old dremel tool that I kept which has a charger that automatically shuts off after 3 hours if I'm not mistaken. I never knew the new one keeps charging after the recommend time. I've checked and it didn't say anything on the charger. I guess dremel is profiting on the batteries since the batteries themselves cost more than the drill.
I'm new (so new I haven't recieved my kit from Deltakits yet) to wsr and it seems you have a greatly divided camp on "To Drill" or "Not To Drill". Could you seasoned repair folks give a newbie both sides of the story??
I did attend the Delta-kits training class in San Antonio yesterday (4-10). The hands on there was the first repair I've ever done. The training was excellent and staying within the quidelines given will serve me well. I am just curious as to "Real World" results and which (in your thoughts) will give to best repair. Is it only cosmetic or does it affect the strength also....
