I'm official as of today!!!!!

Post by Mike Allen »

I just wanted to share with everyone that as of today, I am Mike Allen DBA Allen's Auto Glass Repair. I'm quite happy by this and will be purchasing my kit in the next two weeks. I purchased a few shirts last week and had the business name stitched in and got those back last night.

So anyway, I'm happy and looking forward to my first $

Thanks everyone. It does feel good to have things falling inline nicely after much prep. I actually had the shirts done up before I even filed everything with the state.

I went out today(my first day of leave) and picked up 3 dealerships within an hour. There are a few more that I have to return to to catch up with the right person and more to be had. Where I'm at is a lot of high end things so havign some nice slacks and my button up shirts with company name helped out a bunch I think. Makes me seem more legit, professional and targets this market here.

It seems that there are two other W/S replacement companies in the area and they do repairs on the side but only on given days.

The business card should be done within a day or so then I can get cards out to clients. Of course I'll post a pic of it.

Still haven't ordered a kit yet, waiting on either tax return or plastic money to show up. I did get a call phone line today though. A true entreprenuership is hard on the wallet.

Do not rely on having secured these accounts, the easiest way to get rid of a salesmen is to tell them you will buy off them sometime. I suggest if you are serious about this business. That you get a kit and then some training and then some practise and then go out selling. What happens if one of your new accounts phones you about a job you have no tools or skills to do. You have instantly lost all credibility. Do the job right speculate to accumalate spend some money now. Of course do some market research but do not go out telling people you are starting next month or whenever, customers like to deal with seasoned pro,s not the tech who has no experience.
