I am kinda new at this business, Right now i am pretty much hustling around town. 2 days a week i have stationary places i set up. Buisness inst bad but i want to land a permenant place to set up my repair business. I am looking at a travel center, I can do normal cars and trucks, and i just learned the art of doing a vertical repair so I can start working on the big 18 wheelers annd RVs. Does anyone have a proposal letter or any suggestions of how to land a travel center, car wash, or lube facility? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scott,
Be very carefull with car washes. I used to have 5 car washes under my company with lots of employee's. Car washes will want a lot of your profit, I used to pay 11 dollars per invoice back to the car wash or a weekly minimum. They then started to restrict me on how to get my business from there customers. Most car wash managers look at any extra people at there place as a bother. Also be carefull, they are always being aproached my other repair comanies so they will always come back to you and ask for more money from you because they where offered more money by someone else. My opinion is try to avoid car washes. If you want any further details please feel free to call me if you have any questions.

I checked into the Flying J Truckstop Service Board. You pay $150 a month ( 1 year contract ) to be the only authorized repair guy on the property. Use their high $ real estate! Most of us usually charge more for trucks, right? Plus I have a device to use the Steer tire as a platform to stand on.
If Ya don't have a Flying J, offer the General Manager a riding lawn mower to be delivered at his house every year and you'll get any other location. ( Or pay his lawn service)
