Sales pitch to used car lots, rental agencies, etc.

What type of sales pitch do you all give to used car lots and rental agencies? Can someone give me an example of what they say to the manager? Simple question I know, but I want to make sure I dont screw up my chance.

My advice is be yourself and do not forget to ask for the work. Make sure you can do repairs well first, yesterday you could not do pit fill properly this will be noticed by dealers. They will blow any confidence you have straight out of the water if you cannot do the job properly. Maybe start off by selling to small fleet customers first just to get your sales pitch and repairs up to scratch. Before you go out on the road Ifeel there should be no basic problems you have not sorted out on your practise screen.

If you go out and mess up the industry can lose a potential customer for life. Everyday we hear the words I do not bother getting it repaired it does not work, had it done once by so and so it looked rubbish.

When i started out into the first year of windshield repair, i was'"nt to deeply concerned about the marketing aspect of it.Like many wsr techs. out there, i was more concerned about the quality of my repairs more than anything else associaated with it. As i gained more hands on experience and coming to this forum for tips and advice, my confidence grew and of course, the quality of my repairs improved tremendously.

Now armed with the confidence to do repairs at the highest level( I still do get my patience and confidence tested from time to time), I begin to map out my marketing strategy. For something like when i meet a fleet manager for the first time, I would go along the lines with something like this.(after introducing myself)

I repair chips in windshields, thus improving the look by 80 to 95% better looking than before the repair depending on the kind of break we' d be looking at. In all cases, i offer a gurantee that the repaired area will not spread, crack or discolour for as long as you own the vehicle.

I do my repairs mobile, which means i can do them right here. Averagely, it takes about half an hour for repairs.

I normally charge a service fee of $70. and on my way in, i noticed a break on one of your vehicles and if you are interested, I could do one for you now.
