SGT..yes it mught be trivial but it sure speeds things up when you have to look at a few hundred cars..it also helps to know if they are using somebody else..if you find lets say 3 cars with chips i leave car unmarked until i get approval from whoever is in charge.. if they don't want them done you can check next week the same cars and if repairs were done it gives you something to go by and find out why..just helps in keping your finger on whats happening.

Mrchip,

Agree 100%. I know marking sure speeds the process up for us. We mark every car so I do not have to go back and mark if told no. I use my note pad as a refference for what/if anything they hold off on fixing and recheck the next week. It is definately good to have some sort of system inplace what ever it is.

just another thought..it also tells what kind of lot you have..when you go back next week and they have 10 cars that arn't marked..they are tuning over cars and when they are busy they spend money..

We use the Auto Writer from Autobodytoolmart.com. It comes in many colors, stays on the windshield for a month or so but also wipes clean with water and a rag. We also mark the lower left of the w/s, but see people marking the headlights with perm. markers before. People around here use more of a insignia rather than a dot, but whatever works for you to know it's you.

Happy lot walking!

Mafsu, where do you buy your Mean Streaks? I haven't been able to find any around here in the office supply shops.

I mark the passenger side orange turn signal plastic lens. Lasts for 6 months.
