Advice needed for replacement of following vehicles

Hi there
Need some advice, tips , tricks, do's and dont's in replacing the following vehicles.

- Honda Civic 2000
Moulding is a one piece 3 way moulding and I am experiencing problems in removing this moulding as it is fitted tightly. To remove it without breaking is very hard especially in cold temps - I use the Equalizer Express to remove the windshield instead of a cold knife but the moulding breaks during the removal of the glass - any ideas folks?

- Nissan Maxima 1998
Clips are attached to the moulding and to remove the mouldings sometimes causes it to bend. The result is that it does not sit properly on the windshield once the installation is complete :eusa_thin

- Toyota Camry 1992
I experience problems when I put the top moulding on the new glass and it will not sit properly - it ends up being raised somewhere or other - any advice?

Wow. You been doing this long?

FW2112 ('00 Honda Civic) should be pretty gravy. I wouldn't even attempt to save the moldings on these they are way to tight and won't lay down right again if you do manage to get it off of there. I take a long knife and trim the molding off then cold knife the top and sides and use the equalizer express on the bottom. If your dealing with a body shop that is insisting on you saving everything you need to let DT or SGC loose money on them.

As far as the '98 Nissan Maxima you can actually forget the top molding and just put a strip of universal 105 (5/8" molding) on it. Then lay it in there and screw the side moldings down.

'92 Camry should be put on after you set the new glass. Make sure you aren't running too much urethane or else the molding won't lay down right. You could actually use Universal 105 w/ the chrome insert (T120) on these as well.

I also use chrome universal on fw694,but the fw 781-maxima, I pull the top molding out from the side with pliers, then when cutting glue down on top,i cut at an angle so not to scratch the surface,because its difficult to get primer under the retainer,clean out the retainer with a hook tool and molding should easily snap back in.

And be careful setting that f694, they hang over the bead about a mile on the bottom and love to air leak.
