I had someone from your fantastic country over in May for training and purchase of a Delta system. There are very few people in Sweden doing screen repair, if you are in a large city you will succeed, it is easy to sell repair on the green issue which should concern us all. Some of the kits available in Europe are not as good as you would wish them to be. If I can be of any help please just email Delta and they will forward my details. No need to apologise for your english it is superb.

Mr Bill, Just think how much power is used to produce a windshield, the urethanes involved in fitting the new glass, the large vehicles and shops etc needed to operate a replacement business and I am sure you can make up some more. Plus it is very expensive to recycle windshields, it is a lot harder than just glass, most of it ends up in landfill.

I can't remember who it was or I would give credit where credit is due, but one of our competitors used to run an ad in industry magazines many years ago that showed the waste from a windshield replacement in a big pile on one side, and the waste from a windshield repair held in the open palm of a hand on the other side. It's still one of my all time favorite ads, but at the time was not such a big deal to most people. Now however, the world is finally understanding the importance of protecting our environment.

It still kills me when we visit states like Montana where everything still goes in the garbage can. Here in Oregon we have a large recycling can, a large yard debris can, and a tiny little garbage can. Montana is such a beautiful state, but the average person has had little or no education about environmental issues and generates a tremendous amount of waste compared to the average Oregonian.

Not only is there more waste created when replacing a windshield, but also when manufacturing a windshield. The "Green Alternative" should be part of every windshield repair technician's marketing campaign.

I don't think any shops in my area recycle because I see tons of them in dumpsters LOL
