BEST WAY TO ADVRTZ ONLINE

Post by ClearView WRS »

Ok people, help me out...

I signed up for DEX online and yellow pages online. But it seems like its going to be a waist of money. Next thing I wanted to try out is ether
a) Google pay per click
b) yellow magic

I am leaning towards Google. But it seems like its going to be spendy... I did that estimate deals, and its showing 4 dollars per click if I want to make it 1st page. Does anyone use this form of advertisement at all? If yes, what do you think?
Are there any other things I should look into (as far as online advertising) that I should look into?

Im in Vancouver/Portland OR area.

Thanks...

We just ran the first Dex Yellow Pages ad in years, and frankly I have been disappointed at the results. I used to run ads for my glass shop all the time and it always paid for the ad and then some, but I'm not so sure this time.

Pay per clicks do get results but they also get very expensive. I'm still not sure if they pay off for us or not. $4 per click is very high when you only care about reaching your local area.

I'm not familiar with Yellow Magic.

You might want to get someone to help you design your site so that it is optimized for your local area. Google results typically have a local listing, and really that is all you need to be concerned about. If you come up in that local listing you are good to go. Try to find someone to evaluate your site for free and then give you an estimate on helping you meet your goals. Easier said than done I know, but I think it is your best shot. Good luck!

I think $4 a click is outrageous.
Suppose they click but don't buy.

Do it all yourself. Run on free classified sites like craigslist and such. YouTube video ads with your phone number and web site. If you post video ads on YouTube the video will be distributed to about 30-40 other no name video sites.

we do this plus run free merchant circle.com ads, they will get you in the top 10 in a natural search for most areas within days after posting. Free press release.com also works good and get you in the top 10 with in days .

All of this is FREE and has us up in the top 3 in a natural search on most search sites for our areas we service.

Since running ads this way we have done away with the yellow pages all together. We bring in more jobs from the FREE online ads than we ever did with the Yellow Page ads.

Also FaceBook,Twitter and other social networking sites , work well too and lets your customer get instant updates on your specials or recalls and such.

Just my opinion
