Curved Windshields?

Post by chipfix »

I do quite a bit of work on buses that have windshields that are curved on the sides.
Occasionally I will have a chip right on the curve and the suction cup wont work (I have a flip lock type bridge).
Are there any other types of bridges/suction cups that will work in this situation?

Hold down the edges of the vacuum cup (where it won't touch the glass) while you are moving the lock down arm on the bridge. This has worked for me. Take out the injector first.

I am not using a Delta bridge but mine has the same suction cup as Delta's flip leaver model.
Thanks for the tip ghost rider I will give that a try.
