bridge coming off problem
Have any of you guys ever had problems with your bridges popping off of the w/s.I have been using the clamp on type that lr sales for about 3years and from time to time I have problems with them coming off.I do wipe the w/s down before I repair it.I have taken it apart and dont see anything wrong with it.This can be very annoying specially when you are working 4 to 5 repairs at a time.I am sure that delta and lr get these from the same place,so I am not sure whether it is a quality thing.O yea my cups on the bridges appear to be in good shape.

Mr Bill I did not wet it and never have.I would not think you would have to wet this type of suction cup.I had one before and every repair you would have to wet it.That is the reason I have been using this one for almost 3 years.I think maybe Glasstarz is right that maybe the w/s being to hot is make it turn loose.

Re: bridge coming off problem
Hey Bill, I have a couple of bridges from American Winsdhield Repair Systems that use the lever type of suction cup. I had one that would continually pop off. I called American and they told me it must have gotten weak. They had me send them the bridge and they sent me a replacement bridge. I used this particular bridge (defective one) for 5 yrs before I started to experience this problem.

Re: bridge coming off problem
check to see if you are laying your injector cup on something in the tool box that is leaving an impression on the bottom outer edge of the cup.

Re: bridge coming off problem
I have never had the problem with hot glass, and RainX is almost unheard of over here. Personaly I would imagine there is a very small mark on the rim of your suction cup, try placing a sheet of fine abrasive paper on a piece of glass and rubbing the cup on the , keeping it as flat as possible. It is extremely unlikely it has become porous which is the only other way it will lose suction, I also moisten my cups before placing them on the glass.
